Success Measurements in my third postpartum body recovery!

My little guy is 3 months old now and growing like a weed! He's already almost 19 lbs and wearing 6-9 month clothes! He is such a happy baby and smiles constantly. He is very chatty and sounds like Chewbacca. ;-)

Now that you've seen that cuteness, let's move on to what you really want to see; my next round of measurements and pics!

Since starting on October 23, I am down a total of 16.5 inches!

Current, in inches:

Neck: 12.5

Bicep: 11

Forearm: 7.75

Chest: 36.75

Natural Waistline: 29

Navel: 32

Hip: 39

Thigh: 19.25

Calf: 14

This is the first time I've weighed or done body fat measurements since the birth. The numbers are exactly what I expected.

I'm 136.6 lbs & 31% body fat. I'm only 5 feet tall (or short).

My goals are 125 lbs & 25% body fat by February 4. 115 lbs & 21% body fat by April 1.

Lofty but I like to really challenge myself since I know I can do it!

Note: I use calipers to measure body fat. Their error is usually + or - up to 3%. Body fat scales and electrical impedance can be off by as much as 7%.

I can really see a difference in the back of my legs here. Waist is trimmed a bit.

Wow, is there a difference here! Check out the back of my legs and right under my sports bra & "love handles". Holy fat reduction! I had no idea I'd made this kind of progress. :-)

Wanna know how? Slow and steady progress using TaraFit's Trim in 10 DVD's.

I followed my specialized program that is included with every DVD set and completed about 8 weeks of that.

It wasn't until last week (Dec 30) that I started another program.

I'm now doing Cathe Freidrich's STS. Just time for a change and Cathe is my fave.

You'll see what I mean when I share my in-home fitness DVD catalog. A blog post for another day.

I hope that by sharing my own journey gives you motivation, hope, and excitement. Babies do NOT ruin your body and the rumor that the 3rd one "does you in" is definitely not true. The change has been a bit slower this time, but I gained a lot more this time. I estimate I gained about 40 lbs this time instead of the 26 lbs with my previous two. That is hugely significant on a 5' body!

Happy Fitness!
